DAVID JAMES ARCHULETA

In this post, I wanna tell you guys about my favorite singer. If you read my ‘More About’ widget already, you will know who is he. Yup, he is David Archuleta!
The Most Handsome singer in this entire world!

With a full name David James Archuleta, he was born in Miami, Florida on December 28th 1990 to Jeff Archuleta and Lupe Marie Mayorga. His mother is a salsa singer and dancer from Honduras and his father is a jazz musician of Spanish-Basque descent. He speaks a little bit of Spanish and aspires to learn more.
In 2003, when he was twelve years old, Archuleta sang on several episodes of the television show Star Search. He ended up as the Junior Vocal Champion on Star Search 2, Losing the Junior Grand Champion title to Tiffany Evans. On one episode, he sang against then-11-year-old Alexandréa Lushington, who became a "top 20" semi-finalist on American Idol alongside Archuleta.  Around the second year of being on StarSearch he started focusing on the lyrics, "I didn't even pay attention to the lyrics when I was 12, 13".

Archuleta received his ticket to the Hollywood final auditions at the San Diego tryouts – held at Qualcomm Stadium at the end of July 2007 – with a performance of John Mayer's "Waiting on the World to Change" with judge Randy Jackson spontaneously joining in to sing the background "waiting" in the song.  He was sixteen during the Hollywood auditions and attended school while a part of American Idol's seventh season. His parents were there because he was a minor. Archuleta also took advantage of the decision to allow contestants to play musical instruments when he accompanied himself on piano for his performances of "Crazy", "Another Day in Paradise", and "Angels".

Barely after Idol, David saw massive success straight out the gate with his first lead single Crush, a catchy pop tune about unrequited teenage love written by Emanuel Kiriakou, David Hodges and Jess Cates, which charted at No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 and has since sold two million downloads.
His sophomore album, a record entitled Christmas From The Heart, reflects his love for the holiday season and debuted at #2 on Billboard’s Holiday Albums in late 2009.
For me, Christmas music has always been such a big time in my life,” David recounts.* A year later saw him singing with the prestigious Mormon Tabernacle Choir at their Christmas extravaganza, which earned him rave reviews.

Fast forward to the present, and you see many sides to David Archuleta. There’s the youthful David, affectionately known as Archie, who often lets loose mid-interview giggles on TV and radio.
And there’s the insatiably curious David, who does not have all the answers but is resolved to keep searching for them. This is best encapsulated in the single Something‘Bout Love off the current album, a S*A*M and Sluggo collaboration, about the perils and joys of being in love.
Then you have David the inspiration and role model, who looks deep inside and up above for guidance and who is deeply passionate about helping others, supporting numerous charities such as Rising Star Outreach, Invisible Children, Children’s Miracle Network and Stand Up To Cancer. In the aftermath of the 2010 Haiti earthquake, he delved into his Latino roots by lending his voice to the recording of Somos El Mundo, a Spanish version of We Are The World.

Feeling a greater sense of purpose is nothing new to this singer, who overcame vocal cord paralysis that afflicted him at age 13 while competing on CBS’s Star Search. The trying experience was chronicled in David’s 2010 New York Times best-selling autobiography Chords of Strength: A Memoir of Soul, Song, And The Power of Perseverance and resonates in the overall message of The Other Side of Down.

Instead of acting like everything in life is so hard and confusing, look at it this way: the only way you can go from here is up,” he says. “It’s our decisions and how we handle things, even when they get rough. If we keep holding on, looking at things positively and working hard, we can improve our lives, help ourselves, and even help the greater good.

To that end, David has toured extensively across the United States, the United Kingdom and Asia to perform for fans. His current eclectic musical inspirations run the pop-rock gamut, from acoustic guitar-driven singer-songwriters like Jason Mraz to the electronic sounds of female innovators like Imogen Heap and A Fine Frenzy. “It’s amazing how one song can change someone’s life,” says David. “It’s been done for me so many times and I want to give to my fans the same thing those artists have given me.”

I’m proud to be Arch Angel.  Who Adore the Talented singer from Florida!
Archuleta has gone to Indonesia on July 15th 2011. He sang for Pond’s Teens Concert as the ambassador of Pond’s. But unfortunately I can’t watch his performance. I feel extremely sad.

Before he come to Indonesia he made a short video for Arch Angerls in Indonesia with the tittle Indonesia Here I Come!
Here some of video from Pond’s Teen Concert in Indonesia.
With budding maturity, David Archuleta captures two years’ worth of introspection and reflection in The Other Side of Down. His latest pop album is the culmination of dozens of songwriting sessions, long days spent in the studio and nights in the air.

The album was released on October 5th 2010, in the United States, under Jive Records in three editions: a standard CD only edition, a deluxe CD+DVD edition and a Fan Edition exclusive to David's official site. The Fan Edition will not only include the deluxe CD+DVD edition, but also a 4" by 6" picture window, four high quality photos of David himself in 2 double-sided 4" by 6" pictures, one picture hand-initialed by David, and an album-exclusive friendship bracelet - all packaged in a deluxe 7" by 7" memory box. Pre-orderers of the Fan Edition also received a free instant MP3 download of the album's lead single, "Something 'bout Love" and instant enrollment into a contest draw for an HD Flip Video camera containing footage of David.
The deluxe CD version also contains four videos, the album photo shoot, a Q&A session, the music video of "Something 'Bout Love" and the making of the video.

This album was amazing, like usual. And my favorite songs in this The Other Side Of Down album are Something ‘bout Love and The Other Side Of Down.
I also love his song that called Waiting For Yesterday from his first album in Japanese and UK Edition.

I love and adore him so much since his audition on American Idol season 7. I don’t know why but he makes me crazy at the first sight.

To know more about this amazing singer. You can go to his official site here. Or if you are Indonesian you should see this blog.
And you must follow his twitter @DavidArchie

That’s all. I just love him. So I don’t wanna talk about anyone else.

See you guys on the next post!!!

Horrific Tragedy at Tugu Tani

Have you ever committed one big stupid mistake in your life that changes your life 180 degrees overnight? Have you ever wished you could turn back the hands of time to avoid such foolish reckless mistake? Well… I am certain most of you will say “Yeah…I did.”  But I’m sure it’s not as horrendous as what film producer Afriyani Susanti had done.

What happened in almost a mont ago was a tragedy. After a night of clubbing, a heavily intoxicated woman smashed into 12 people with a Daihatsu Xenia, killing 9 of them, including a 2-year-old baby.

She became most wanted public enemy. Drunk and high, she drove her Xenia car that tragically claimed nine innocent lives, and severely injured three others. Her car smashed into a number of pedestrians in Tugu Tani as she could not control her speeding vehicle in such a state. Now, she has to face murder charges after the police beforehand accused her of having violated the Traffic Law for driving under the influence of narcotics and without a driver’s license.

It was an accident, and I believe taking nine innocent lives was not even present in her wildest imagination. Her biggest fatal error was driving the car while she was under the influence of alcohol and drugs which she could have avoided if she only used her common sense. It was her choice in the first place to join the party, taking the alcohol, swallowing the drugs, and got into that driver’s seat. She took all those choices, thus she was in full responsibility of her action, albeit the fact that it was a tragic accident. I feel sorry for her but I feel most sorry for the victims and their families.

It’s heartbreaking to see the families of the victims wailed and mourned for their lost loved ones. Their beloved have been snatched away in such cruel way by a reckless and an irresponsible driver. It’s also heartbreaking to see Afriyani’s mother begged for forgiveness in tears last night in TV One to the families. Not to mention the shame she would bear in witnessing the public mock and scorn her daughter. A Photo of her daughter has even edited and pasted as a joke.

Based on Indonesia’s criminal code, the heaviest punishment one can get for killing people in a car accident, irrespective of the number of casualties, is six years in prison.

it doesn’t make sense. Six years for killing nine people?
The Indonesian legal system should start considering deadly collisions like this as second-degree murder. It may not be premeditated, but it is still murder.

wheres the mind? its ridiculous! 9 lifes, 6years?! i'll never understand that law.

We all know that Afriani has taken her share of public anger, as evidenced by the merciless tide of rage distributed against her on the Internet and through social media.

This leads to another point. Indonesian law enforcers are not big on promoting a “Don’t drink and drive” campaign. Remember those stories last year about the number of cases where drunken motorists plunged into the Hotel Indonesia Circle fountain?

If Afriani is punished for vehicular homicide, hopefully that might cause people to think twice before driving under the influence.

Here’s another interesting point. In her confession, Afriani said that she had been at Stadium, the notorious multi-story disco in the Hayam Wuruk area. Afterwards, there were reports that city authorities would conduct drug raids on clubs and bars

this tragedy has reminded us to always be careful. drive the carefully and also avoid drugs and alcohol.
come on, no one can be the success person with alcohol and drugs.
don't drive your car crazily. it will take you to dead. just stay calm. no one can see your great car if you drive it with the high speed, right?

The day after the incident, I received email on such photo with tagline “if you want to commit a mass suicide, just call me..bla..bla…bla…something like that.” It was a silly joke. It was after all a tragic accident which could have avoided if only Afriyani had been sober. Alcohol and drug kill!!! They Destroy lives!!!
at the first time i saw the pictures, i think that was a funny joke. and now its still funny!

ok guys don't be as stupid as Afriyani.

DRUGS and ALCOHOL?? the worst enemy EVER!!!

Growing Me

MASA BALITA

Saya diberi nama, Kireina Cyana Siti Rohmah.

Sejak dilahirkan Saya mendapatkan ASI ekslusif selama 5 bulan penuh. Selanjutnya Saya minum ASI sampai berusia 30 bulan.

Terimakasih.
